Lady Death is now available to watch online! She’s come a long way from the character I dreamed up one night, while scribbling down some ideas in my notepad.
Starring the fabulous three: Katrina Mc Keever (pictured above), Carla Bryson and Corey Millar; featuring the filming and musical talents of Stephen Coyle; and the fantastic makeup artistry of Eimear Owens.
Shortlisted for the Jameson First Short Competition in 2016, and screened at the 2017 Belfast Film Festival, Film Devour 23 (check out the review here!), Culture Night 2017 (Banterflix interview here), Glór Ennis in Clare, Disappear Here Film Festival in Donegal, and Jim Thorpe Indie Film Festival in Pennsylvania, Lady Death well and truly reached a global audience. We really couldn’t be happier with how it has been received, and it’s so exciting to finally get the opportunity to share it with everyone online.
As a writer and director, I enjoy telling stories that are ethereal and other-worldly, but deal with very real, identifiable subjects. This is how Lady Death came about; the desire to make people more aware of the differences in this world, while examining this concept from a very unique point of view.
To everyone who helped make this happen: you guys are my superstars, and I can’t wait to see what amazing things you get up to next. For all your patience, kindness and genuine support: thank you, from the very bottom of my heart.
I want to create films that have something positive to say, and reach out to people in different ways. I hope this film demonstrates my goals as a writer/director, not only in style, but also my desire to support emerging talent. I plan to continue making more films of this style in the future, and I sincerely hope you all enjoy it.
So here it is – ta da! Lady Death. Watch (if you dare…).
